This snowflake afghan is warm has a beautiful pattern. The only thing different I did with the pattern was to use a size US-H crochet hook instead of a size US-G. I had to buy 2 one pound rolls of navy and 2 one pound rolls of white. I had a lot left over in both colors.

This pulse warmmer has easy color changes and is fun to make. Things I did differently: I do not own any fingerweight yarn, and I don't have any stores around to buy some, so I unravled some worsted weight yarn leaving two strands left. This made it easier to get the gauge required. I also used single pointed flat size US-2 needles instead. I did this because I am not the greatest at changing colors while knitting round and can not find small enough double pointed needles. I just sewed the seam up the back to make it round. It worked pretty well for me.
